The most common form of heart disease is artery disease, specifically clogged coronary arteries. Heart Disease (all forms) kills more people each year than cancer, approximately 23,000 more.
Artery Disease is characterized by the build-up of plaque within the coronary and/or peripheral arteries.
Plaque consists of oxidized LDL cholesterol, fibrin, calcium and other debris. This plaque build-up, found within the arteries, is called atherosclerosis.
Atherosclerosis is the cause of the most common form of artery disease which is characterized by plaque clogged arteries of the heart and the form of artery disease most likely to kill you if left unchecked.
Coronary Artery Disease
Coronary Artery Disease is the build-up of plaque within the arteries of the heart such as the right or left coronary arteries and this plaque is caused by atherosclerosis.
Build up of the pasty, soft, vulnerable or hardened gruel called atherosclerosis enlarges to the point it begins to curb or even stop blood flow to cellular tissue. When blood flow is compromised within the coronary arteries it can cause hypertension (high blood pressure), chest pain (Angina), heart arrhythmia, heart attack, heart failure, disability and/or death.

Peripheral Artery Disease
Peripheral artery disease or PAD is characterized by the build-up of artery plaque (atherosclerosis) within the arteries located outside the heart. The plaque build-up may occur in the legs, arms, or the torso. When a renal artery (kidney) becomes blocked it could damage your kidney(s) to the point you need dialysis to survive and compromised kidneys can also cause heart failure.
PAD can also become a source of blood clots that “travel.” If one travels to a coronary artery and blocks it you may experience a heart attack. When one travels to the brain you of course could have a stroke.
Carotid Artery Disease
Carotid Artery Disease is simply clogged neck arteries. You have two major neck arteries, one on your right side and one on your left. When one or both become filled with atherosclerotic plaque you are then termed to have Carotid Artery Disease. The result of clogged neck arteries can be a TIA (transient ischemic attack or mini stroke) or a full blown stroke. Death or at least disability can result.
Learn About Artery Disease Because There Is Hope With Knowledge!
By learning as much as possible about artery disease and exactly what causes it you can then formulate a plan to reverse artery disease if you have it and prevent it if you don’t. The one thing you need to understand is that mainstream medicine is NOT going to reverse artery disease and most of the “prevention” advice they give you literally promotes artery disease. Artery disease is a multi-hundred BILLION dollar cash cow. Do you really think they want to kill a golden goose?
Mainstream medicine wants to “manage” your artery disease NOT cure it. They want the long-term cash flow from office visits, scans and surgical interventions. The drug companies want to sell drugs. So …
If you have artery disease and you want to get rid of it, you’ll need to do what it takes to learn how you can reverse artery disease. Nobody else is going to do it for you.
Your Diet Matters
Fact: You’ve been eating all wrong to prevent and reverse heart disease.
For decades, low-fat and low-cholesterol diets have been touted as the way to prevent and reverse heart disease – But! In the groundbreaking book, The Great Cholesterol Myth, Jonny Bowden and Dr. Stephen Sinatra debunked that assertion, arguing that fat—often curtailed on traditional low cholesterol “heart-healthy” diet—is not the enemy and may in fact be part of the solution.
The grains and carbohydrates that are often substituted for fat and healthy proteins in traditional “low cholesterol” diets may exacerbate the problem. In short, a diet low in sugar and other inflammatory foods and ingredients and high in healthy fats, protein, antioxidants, and key nutrients is the best course of action.
In The Great Cholesterol Myth Cookbook, nutrition expert Jonny Bowden lays out a detailed meal plan and 100 delicious and nutritious recipes that will prevent and reverse heart disease, target key factors like inflammation and HDL cholesterol, provide key nutrients, and give you back foods you thought were gone forever.
